When is the sale from an online auction complete?

The sale is complete when the auctioneer says it is complete. This can be done in a few ways.  1. The Falling of the hammer or any customary action.  The auctioneer must announce the closing of the actions. Until such an announcement the bidders can keep bidding. 

What should you check before buying from an online auction site?

Keep your contact information including email address, up to date. Look into the seller or buyer - whether a private individual or online store. Look at their profile, their rating and transaction history. New sellers and buyers may not have a very comprehensive history, so be a little more cautious.

Call the new auctioneers on the phone. Talk to them in person and make sure you are talking to a real person. 

They should be available to answer questions.
